The Roundabout That Became a Four-Way Stop

This is one of my favorites.

You know how a roundabout is supposed to work?

You enter when it’s safe, yield to the traffic already circulating, and keep moving.

Simple.

Except apparently some

They see the circle and think:

“Oh. Four-way stop.”

And suddenly everyone stops.

Inside the roundabout.

Outside the roundabout.

People who aren’t even there yet are probably stopping just in case.

You’re sitting there thinking, “It’s a roundabout. You’re supposed to keep moving!”

But no.

Somebody has apparently transformed the entire thing into a four-way stop through sheer force of confusion.

The best part is watching two cars approach each other and both stop because neither driver knows whose turn it is.

Congratulations.

You have successfully taken a traffic system designed to eliminate unnecessary stopping and turned it into a staring contest.

And that’s when I remember why I don’t like driving in Castle Rock.

I’m not dealing with traffic.

I’m dealing with Stupid People Tricks.
