It’s My Life

When you get a TBI and stroke in the same lifetime. clarity): “Two years after the stroke. Still building. Still standing.” Follow me if you dare.

Colorado Cannabis Throwdown

This could even become part of Colorado Cannabis Throwdown.

Take one classic strain.

Find several licensed cultivators growing it.

Blind the samples.

Judge them.

Score them.

Then reveal the growers.

Not:

Who has the highest THC?

Instead:

Who grew the best damn Blue Dream?

That’s a competition I’d watch.

And I’d want the winner determined by the flower, not the logo on the jar.

One Hit Reviews

This also fits perfectly with One Hit Reviews.

The goal isn’t to tell somebody what they should buy.

It’s to tell them what the experience was.

A review could look at:

Appearance
Aroma
Flavor
Smoke
Effect
Cure
Classic authenticity
Would I buy it again?

And then one final question:

Would I recognize this as the classic?

That could become the signature question.

Bring Back the Bud

This isn’t about pretending that 1995 was better.

It isn’t about saying old cannabis was magically superior.

It isn’t about rejecting everything modern.

It’s about keeping some history alive.

The cannabis industry can continue charging forward while occasionally looking over its shoulder.

Grow the new stuff.

Breed the weird stuff.

Experiment with the crazy stuff.

But every once in a while, bring back the damn Blue Dream.

Give Durban Poison another turn.

Let Sour Diesel breathe again.

Put a properly grown OG Kush on the shelf.

Give consumers the opportunity to discover these strains for the first time.

And give longtime consumers the opportunity to find one that makes them say:

“Holy crap. I remember this.”

That’s the opportunity.

Not nostalgia for nostalgia’s sake.

Preservation.

Quality.

History.

And a little respect for the strains that helped build the culture in the first place.

BRING BACK THE BUD

Colorado’s classics deserve another harvest.
