Dakota signed a lease—and I got the grand tour of his new apartment at the Castle Rock Promenade.
Standing there and walking through the place made it official.
It’s real.
As a parent, there are moments that sneak up on you. One day you’re helping your kid figure out the next step, and the next you’re standing in their very own apartment, realizing they’re building a life of their own.
It’s exciting.
It’s a little surreal.
And yes…there’s a little bit of “Where did the years go?” mixed in there.
I’m proud of Dakota for taking this step. Signing a lease is more than getting an apartment. It’s a commitment, a responsibility, and another chapter of becoming independent.
